Having to complete a senior project requires a lot of time and devotion. It may seem like a lot to add to the many responsibilities already looming around seniors in high school but in reality, it's a wonderful eye opening experience. Upon entering Pottsgrove High School, I never really thought that by doing the senior project I would be affecting other peoples' lives. At the same time, I never thought it would impact me in a substantial way. By renovating a room at Fellowship Farm, I feel good that I was able to teach people a little about a peaceful activist, make the Cheyleur house a more enjoyable place to be, express my creativity, learn the value of money and donations and find out a little about how nonprofit organizations work.
Placing all of this information on a website enables me to show the world a little about what a project of this sort does for a student. My instructors see a visible example of the time and effort that I devoted. I'm hoping that other students who stumble upon this will also be inspired to help their society whether their high school requires it or not.
